Hair care

Long hair hamsters need lots of grooming requirements. Buy a new tooth brush and brush your hamsters with the soft bristols. Brush your hamsters gently and becareful as they like to move a lot. Brush at least 2 times a week.

If you dont brush your long-haired hamster they'll end up with tangles in their fur. It'll make your hamsters look pretty weird.

This is what a long haired hamster looks like:

* take note , never bathe your hamsters as they can get seriously sick
* You dont have to brush your hamster's fur if it doesnt have long hair

Hamster sleep

"OMG my hamster is still up at 3 am in the morning?" you might scream. HAHA XD

Well they are nocturnal creatures. That means that they sleep during the day and are active during the night. So its best not to put your hamster in you room as they tend to make a lot of noise. Just place them in your living room or kitchen . Please place them in a safe place and not near a boiling kettle or window!

Hamster breeds for you

Breed all about it :)

Syrian breed
These guys are great for first time hamster owners! They are very easy to handle unlike dwarf hamsters that jump out of your hand and run like crazy. They are gentle and pretty nice and big to hold. Their the size of your hand. But dont fear the size cause actually its easier to handle that way.Trust me you wont regret buying this breed. They live between 2 to 3 years.

You can find this breed anywhere in Singapore and the world. Just visit you local pet shop and spot the big guys :)O yes, and they are relatively cheaper compared to other breeds, >$10.

Pearl white Hamster
This fella belongs to the dwarf family. They live between 1½ to 2 1/2 years. Being small makes them slightly difficult to handle .They can move really fast so first time owners beware! dont let them jump off your hand or there goes your precious snowflake. Theyre kinda expensive >$25. But you have to admit theyre really cute!

Roborovski
These guys can live from 1-3 years. They are extremely cute and commonly found in any petshop. Warning they are really fast and that makes them pretty hard to handle. Contray to what the internet says, i believe this hamster isnt meant for kids , the sole reason being theyre not easy to play nor handle with. One advantage is that when it comes to hamster races, these guys are the best! Theyre kinda expensive though. Probably > $20
